Earth Wallet is a new digital asset wallet to hold keys to the new Internet Computer, that is interoperable with Bitcoin, Ethereum, Polkadot and many more. Available as a Browser Extension, and as a mobile app in the future, Earth Wallet enables anyone from anywhere in the world, to access the next generation of Finance, Economic, and Governance protocols without any central middlemen.

The code base will be 100% open source, audited and developed by some of the best engineers and designers in the world.

The consumer economy has driven humanity to lose touch the environment, the damaging effects we are having on it, and the rest of life that we are lucky to share the planet with. Earth Wallet is a set of new tools to help fight this and incentivize the creation of a better planet.

Innovate & Evolve

The best way to create the future is to build it, and this is why many decided to join the blockchain space. For a chance to right the wrongs of an unfair economy, a corrupt government, or failing financial market. However somewhere along the way, and certainly the past few months, the space has been largely driven by get rich quick schemes, corruption/scams, all while we face some of the greatest civilisation level challenges. The promises made by the blockchain industry, and the trillions of dollars now allocated to it by global investors are not without reason. This technology may just be our only chance to fix Society from getting any crazier than it already is. The best way to do that is to do the work that needs to be done.

Create a Better Planet

The Internet Computer is a revolutionary new protocol that aims to change not just how blockchains or finance works, but how the entire internet works. It is an evolution in blockchain technology similar to Ethereum, which will very likely open up a new wave of decentralization. Our goal is to help the Internet Computer ecosystem foster innovation by leading its wallet tooling infrastructure, similar to how Metamask was instrumental to the success of Ethereum by making it a fun and user friendly experience to use the protocol.

Our goal is empower others by making this accessible to everyone, by gathering the best and brightest developers and making this easier for everyone to participate. Engineering

Full Stack Engineer

Can you tune TCP, reason about latencies across continents, evaluate alternate protocols? Have you worked on large distributed systems? The DFINITY protocol involves deploying efficient, sybil-resistent Peer-to-Peer networks at global scale.  We are seeking engineers with experience working on world-scale networking challenges to join our team. You will have the chance to:Help build a novel sybil-resistant world-scale P2P network.

Reason about and solve problems related to all known network-level attack types.

Evaluate novel alternate protocols and routing mechanisms.
We know and respect that great software engineers come from a great variety of backgrounds.  Where you come from is of interest to us, but what we care most about is what you can do.  Some of the things that may be helpful preparation for a role at DFINITY include:Experience shipping significant software systems as part of a medium to large organization.

A deep understanding of at least one systems software language like C, C++, or Rust.  Our P2P network will initially be built in Rust (we will teach you)

Experience deploying and operating systems that run 24x7x365 and building the monitoring, alarming, and tooling required to keep them healthy.  

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.  The unique challenges at DFINITY have attracted many engineers with advanced degrees, however your practical experience is more important to us than your educational background.
