Earth Wallet v1.0 - Public Release

We are excited to announce the release of Earth Wallet Release Candidate 1.0! This is a significant milestone in our journey to create the most decentralized, open source, and safe place for everyone on Earth to store their digital assets. Our number one priority thus far has been to get to a product which we could code freeze, audit, and open source. By keeping our codebase simple, we aim to maximize the security, while still offering all of the features that mainstream wallets have, without the risk of introducing vulnerabilities to the billions now entrusted to Web3 wallet companies. With the bulk of development now complete, we will be announcing new security partners and auditing protocols to make Earth Wallet is the most secure place on Earth for your digital assets.

Internationalization

We are excited to announce a new feature in Earth Wallet that enables internationalization for the top 20 languages! This means that users can now use Earth Wallet in their preferred language, making it more accessible and user-friendly for a wider audience. This new feature was a highly requested addition to Earth Wallet, and we are thrilled to be able to provide it to our users. Whether you prefer to use English, Spanish, Chinese, or any of the other 17 languages supported, Earth Wallet has you covered. We hope this new feature will help to make managing your digital assets an even more seamless and enjoyable experience.

Wallet Connect V2

This new feature allows users to easily connect their Earth Wallet to other decentralized applications (DApps) using the Wallet Connect protocol. This is a major improvement over the previous version of Wallet Connect, as it provides better security and reliability for users. With this new feature, users can easily access their favorite DApps and interact with them using their Earth Wallet, without having to go through the hassle of manually entering their private keys. Looking Ahead

Lastly, we just wanted to make a note on the recent events in the cryptocurrency industry, and the importance of supporting open source, decentralized self-custody wallets. From the origins of Bitcoin, the entire purpose of this industry was to give power back to the people, and take it away from ego/greed driven individuals on wall street. It saddens us to see the same individuals having taken control of what was once a pure movement, and we hope our efforts are able to be light in what has become a dark space.

Earth Wallet will remain committed to providing free and open alternatives to hyper-capitalist technologies and networks of individuals that are destroying our planet by distracting us from each other, and amplifying the wrong narratives. It is certainly not an easy path, but it is the necessary one. And we want to thank all of you who have supported this project from the start.
